Good to know Michael, will give it a go soon then. Not sure if i'd be quicker getting back to Stonehouse by going back over the Garrion bridge or crossing the expressway to Hamilton, then going back through Larkhall?
Haha cheers, it really wasn't though. Still it's good to feel the improvement from last year!
To be fair to Rikeh he did take a run up the Brae on Tuesday night.
Cya soon! |

Cheers Miguel, good to see you on the Forum and on top Bundy form. As we left Newmains the fear in the bunch was palpable, I could see them thinking "Is big whit's his name unstoppable?"........ then I stopped. Once I'm getting right round regularly I'll attempt the Big Boy climb - promise! Paul is going very well - I think we'll check what's in his 'water' bottle...... _________________ Second place = best loser! |

Think that was probably Lee you saw Rikeh. Spoke to him at club night on Friday and he said he was gonna start giving it a go to get up to speed & get prepared for some racing! |

[quote]Any tips for cramping calves?
I get bothered with terrible cramp moreso in the early season when the muscles are being pushed harder than they are used to. Main reasons for cramp are dehydration and pushing the muscles harder than they can handle.
In terms of hydration, obviously drink plenty, have an energy drink with electrolytes in it. Nuun or Zero tablets(keith sells these, I personally recomend them) can be added to water and are anti cramp. I was told not to drink too much too quickly as you can end up peeing it all back out and also avoid too much alcohol and caffeine.
Bananas have pottasium in them and are supposed to help with cramp as is quinine which can be found in tonic water. Magnesium also plays a part in muscle contractions and can be taken as a supplement.
If you're cramping because the muscles are being pushed too hard, it should ease as the season goes on as the muscles get used to doing the hard work.
That's my tuppence worth so probably best to see what works best for you. |

Thanks Stevie, I'll try bananas too. I suspect 'working harder than you're used to' could be the answer! Cheers _________________ Second place = best loser! |
