I contacted Mary to let her know how her old club is getting on, and this is her reply. I'm sure that she would love to hear from members who knew her.

I regret that I didn't realise that Mary had won Scottish and British Tri Sprint Championships for her age group, otherwise her name would have been included in the Club Profile in Cycling Weekly last Week!!

"Dear Dennis,
Great to hear from you and so pleased club is doing well.
Your web site is one of the best. Haven't had time to look at every section. Will post a little information later to update you.

I see you have some nice new kit-everyone looks so fit, just as I remember them all.

Cheltenham is a lovely place. In fact the whole area of the Cotswolds is quite spectacular. Lots of hills to challenge the bikers!

Very popular cycle club and they also have a good web site. Been for a couple of TT's with them.

Been to training camps in Spain-hope the photos are OK-me at top of Puerto del Sol in Royal Albert top.

Still doing triathlons at local, national and international level-went to world championships in Vancouver 2008 and Hungary 2010.

Lots to do, nice little house which needed some attention but have completed alterations now.

Busy helping family with child care in my 'spare' time.

Hope to come to Scotland later in year so meet up with you all then.

My kind regards to the Club and especially to Jack. Hope he is keeping well.

Mary"

Great to hear that all is well mary and that you are still wearing the albert top ! My dad big jack is doing ok and still is in and around the bikers, as he can no longer ride the bike or drive a car, the guy's in the club have been top drawer picking him up at the house and taking him up to the cafe where all the cyclist's meet, as that is what he likes best, a big thank you to all the guy's in the club.
