The Club's preparation to join British Cycling's much-acclaimed Go-Ride Scheme has been agreed and discussed at each Committee meeting since 10th January, and has reached the stage whereby 6 members are about to attend Scottish Cycling training courses (coaching and welfare).

The Go-Ride sub group, Craig Townsley, John Campbell, Les McKenzie and Dennis White, met (as minuted at the meeting of the full Committee on 3rd March) last night to plan the next step. A copy of the minutes of that meeting will be added to the website (for access by Committee members) in the normal way.

Now that we have reached this stage, it was felt that the Information Bulletin would be a useful way to inform all Club members more about the Scheme, and what participation in it will mean to the further development of the Club.

It has recently become apparent that there are doubts on the part of some members about the Club being part of this Scheme and hopefully the Member's Information Bulletin will help to dispel any misunderstandings that may have given rise to these doubts.

I am sure that this subject will form part of the debate at the special Club meeting scheduled for 28th March, where an expression of all views will be welcome.
