I've copied the following from the Strathclyde Polis Triathlon Club site. Meeting place is the Police Training Centre at Jackton. Hope to see the Albert well represented - Sam loved being a member of the club. As you can see it's not a race........... until the racing starts obviously! Laughing

Hi Folks

The most important date in the Strathclyde Police Triathlon Section calendar is fast approaching, the 2nd of August marks the 4th anniversary of the untimely death, following a road accident whilst training on his bike, of our colleague Insp. Sam Allison. For those who didn't know Sam, he was a founder member of Strathclyde Police Triathlon Section, but more than that he was a top age group athlete and friend. As we have done every year, we are remembering him with a bike run over the Eaglesham Moor Road. We will meet at Jackton car park about 1800hrs on Monday the 3rd of August, with a view to leaving at 1830hrs. All you need is a road bike, helmet and a bar of chocolate (Sam was a chocoholic) we will ride out to the top of the Moor, stop for a bar of chocolate and ride back. All levels are welcome, it is a fun ride, not a race, bring a friend if you wish.

4 club members braved the the wind and rain for the Sam Allison run. Despite 'The Slab' returning from a 2-week training camp in Benidorm, (as anticipated) Cipo was always going to take some beating and finished first! Shocked
Rumour has it, he's desperate to come back to the club!
Thanks lads
Derek
