Good club run today only three guy's out The slab, Alex barr, George johnstone, Good steady pace throughout the run avg speed 15mph With plenty of climbs on route after the slab taking a couple of new roads on the way down to newmills via galston and over the eaglesham moors to stop for lunch at the whitelees wind farm where we met up with jim lauchlan after lunch it was back home via auldhouse, chapleton, hamilton, a great day's training with alex and george showing great progress in there cycling fitness, so why not come and join us next week you can also lay on the sofa to watch the TDF knowing you have cover 65mls on the day till next week The slab. _________________ It's better to burn out than fade away... |

Top bombing yesterday.
Post-holiday Slab made us look even more peely-wally than usual.
A bit of a magical mystery tour en route to Galston - "the road less travelled" and all that....
Found an uber-steep section which would be interesting (!) to ascend by reversing our tracks next time out. A sort of mini-Alpine pass, Ayrshire style, if one can imagine such a thing. |

Sorry guys I've not been about much but suffering from an injury I got back in January,affecting the sciatic nerve.Hope to be out soon and start working towards a better season next year.Only one consolation is the weather we've been having.Enjoy the cycling and hope to c u soon. |
