Club Run # 8, Carluke, Forth, Lanark, Valley International Park Cafe.
Some of the guys will be running a stall at this event for club funds, there is a decent cafe there as well. |

Sunday's run saw five riders (Spider, Dr George from Carmunnock, Brian L'Escargot, Tommy B and yours truly) take in the cycle jumble at the VIP before sampling the joys of Braidwood Hill, Yeildsheilds, Forth, Braehead, Carnwath (where Tommy B peeled off), and Newbigging (unceremonious blow-up on the long, long ascent from me). Brian and I headed for home shortly thereafter via Lanark, me licking my wounds (and a banana for some energy) while Spider and Dr G carried on to Biggar.
The BIG news, however, is that I was diverted off the A74 dual carriageway through Lesmahagow this morning due to resurfacing work. Looks like a major project which should dramatically improve the worst of the bone-rattling surface. |
