|
Slow or moderate pace to suit those attending, with cafe stop and lots of banter, and no one will be left behind.
This run is primarily for beginners, as well as those who have not been out for a while and whose legs are a bit rusty!
We will meet at the Club Hut in Wellgate Street (behind Pro Am Cycles), Larkhall at 9am.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Hi All....I would be interested in joining you on this run if thats ok?
I've been cycling since April and have seen a few of the guys out and about. I guess a beginners run would be a good place to start and see if club membership is my cup of tea. _________________ Matt |

Was good to meet some of the guys today, I struggled and kept the pace down but looking forward to the next one and recon you've got a new member.
Heres a link to the route with stats from the Cafe near tinto back to Blackwood.

Welcome Matt!
Good to hear. Don't worry about ur pace, it will improve quickly if you keep going out with faster people. |

Ye, Paul's right - nothing like the thought of being a stranded on your own, in the middle of nowhere to spur you on!
Good to have you on board Matt _________________ Second place = best loser! |

Yeah, good run today, with Matt, John, Lee, Craig and myself. Great to see John again and Matt out on his first run with us, as well as Lee and Craig after a lengthy absence.
It won't be long before Matt is moving up the ranks to a faster group, once he gets a bit more experience and fitness. He did really well over the 51 mile route - and is determination personified!
John did well too and is more than capable of repeating this kind of ride.
The three guys in the race-face group passed us as we, the 'laughing group', stood outside the cafe in Coalburn - we were too tired to spot them early and they were too fast to see us!
