Sorry to hear about the crash, Derek, but glad at least to see you back on the forum so soon.

I know the Talla road well and can almost imagine the spot. As John says, well done to Ricky for his actions with the other crashed rider.

Go with the flow for now, Derek, and we'll see you back in the bunch soon.

Dennis

RikEh is being quite humble for once, top ride big yin for a lightweight climber like myself, 5:43 and 9th overall, just behind Paul McInally and AHEAD of Cieran Dougherty of EKRC, esteemed company indeed, well done.

Sound like some day, especially if the wind were strong enough to blow big Del off, must have been near hurricane, get well soon big man

Thanks for the good wishes gents.... Smile Smile

In a blatent waste of taxpayers money and a shocking abuse of my position I dispatched officers from Road Policing's Crash Investigation Unit to the scene of my downfall on Talla Brae, in an attempt to ascertain the exact cirumstances of my accident. They use state of the art equipment and the most up-to-date scientific techniques to establish every causal factor of the accident. They outlined their findings in a detailed report and it turns out I crashed coz I'm p!sh at cycling! Rolling Eyes

Apparently the camera never lies.....! Me "pulling away from the bunch" is actually me getting dropped from a bunch, pedalling at a rate that made me honestly think I'd be better getting off and walking, and then getting caught by another group.... about 2 minutes after this picture I was upside down in a burn! Laughing
