Great ride yesterday from Paul, rode away from a group of 8 before the last climb and was never to be seen again taking 1:30 from me and another minute from the rest of the group. Well done on completing, a very hard weekend of racing on very fast circuit on Sat and very tough hilly circuit that was wet and windy on Sun.
Not sure what happened to Ricky on Sun, but he was up front on the faster stage on Sat. |

Ahhhh, sleep. Feel better now
Thanks Michael. Congrats to yourself as well, you were like a train on the flats! Cracking weekend with the prologue and 2 stages, i made mistakes on all 3 stages, and paid for them, but i'll know for next time
Ricky pulled up a few miles after the neutralised section ended on Sunday as he said his legs just seized up with cramp and he went out the back. He was looking very comfortable near front of the bunch on the flat stage on Saturday, shame the dafty thought it was a 48 mile stage and not 53, burned himself thinking the end was nigh!
You'll be happy to hear as well Michael, that i think i figured out whats causing my cramps! Common theme seems to have been too much caffeine, took no caffeine at all on Sunday apart from some that was in a couple of gels i took, and didn't feel cramp until just a mile before the final climb, so i'm avoiding the stuff from here on in!
Dennis - i'll rustle something up later on and email it to Steven. |

Thanks Paul.
Just had a note from the HUB newspaper. They want material today for the next issue. Sorry to put more cramp-inducing pressure on you but if you could possibly get something together today for Steve (for website) and send me a copy (for paper), that would be great.
Their last coverage of the club was brilliant so let's sock it to em.
Cheers,
Dennis |
