Hi Guys. Received this e.mail from some end to enders.Anyone give them any advice. His e.mail address is [email protected]
Hello,
my name is Archie Scott and as I have said above I am after a bit of advice. Let me explain. A couple of friends and I will be cycling end to end at the beginning of August this year and will be doing the three peaks En Route. We are doing it for the charity Help for Heroes. Although I am from Aberdeen but now living in England I have only driven through Glasgow a couple of times and that was a few years ago and for that reason we are looking at cycling around the South of the City IE Strathavon then accross to Paisley then on up to Dumbarton. The other option I have in mind would be to meet up with a couple of club cyclists somewhere around Hamilton and for them to guide us through the City to Dumbarton. We will have a driver plus van backing us up. I would appresiate your thoughts on that.
Thanks,
Archie |

Hi Dave,
I've emailed Scott with a few thoughts, ie use the Strathaven route!
Also told him about the Truck Stop cafe where, depending on the time of day, they may wish to stop and have a chat with local cyclists.

Yes Dennis,I agree that woud be the best route and suggested that to him. Going from Hamilton to Dumbarton through Glasgow would be a nightmare. That was a good idea giving him some info about the truck stop. |
