Suggest a longish, steady run this week - to build up to the Peebles 100 on 16th May. Clubroom at 9am.
Proposed route Larkhall, Millheugh, Glassford, Strathaven, Galston (via back roads), Sorn, Muirkirk (optional cafe stop), Happendon, Larkhall (A74).

Sounds ideal for after race on Saturday. How far is that Dennis? I'll be there, unless i'm seeing the g/f on saturday night, in which case i shall be trapped until mid-day Sunday! |

Paul - you don't need to kid on you've got a 'girlfriend', this is an 'inclusive' Club! By the way WTF happened at that roundabout in Carluke tonight. I lost all my momentum and chucked it at Newmains.... was going to win it tonight too! Good to see a strong turnout from the Albert again anyway. _________________ Second place = best loser! |

Aye sorry if you got a wee bit traumatised by that Derek!
Seems that somebody infront of the guy i was following decided to turn off at the r/about while everyone else was going straight across at full pelt, didn't hear any shout or anything, so the guy infront of me had to check up and i had to slam on the brakes, while trying to avoid the guys rear wheel!
Got a foot unclipped and did a wee dance to stay upright, just.
Was with them until we hit somewhere called Morningside and i didn't have a clue where I was and i was only hanging onto the back anyway, so i sat up, about to consult my Garmin and Guto came past.
He was heading back to Garrion so i just followed him, was only a minute up the road from coopers garage, but i didnae recognise any of the back roads/morningside bit. |

I reckon Sunday's run will be about 70 miles. A good prep for the 100 two weeks later.
Don't worry about having raced the day before; the pace will be nice n steady.
