I'm just checking if any of the guys have ever had knee problems? I'm finding after using the turbo trainer for an hour my right knee is painful the next day. Much more today after training Tuesday and Wednesday night, but my knee is ok after doing a club run. Anyone else have trouble with the turbo trainer more than being out on the road.

Are you using different shoes by any chance, if you are maybe the cleats are slightly different, also do you have the bike sitting level by placing a block under the front wheel?. |

Funny that, since using turbo on wednesday night i twinged my right knee. Feels tight but seemed fine when i went out on the road last night.
Just try and make sure your turbo mimics your road position as much as possible. Same seat height, same distance from nose of saddle to middle of bars etc. Are the cranks different length on the turbo, or do you use the same bike for the road and the turbo? |

I did get new shoes last year and did try my new pedals this week. I did't think the cleats being slightly out would give me so much pain. What is the best way to set the cleats position?
Thanks for the advise guys

Try adjusting your cleats while using the turbo to try and get the positioning right, use the turbo with no resistance and in a small gear till you find a comfortable solution. Hope this helps. |
