Another couple of Sunday runs on the Routes page on the website.

Its been proposed to ride up to the cafe at Whitelee wind farm on the Eaglesham moor, see the route on the website, for some quiet country roads.

Great work on the club run routes james as its the way to go by letting people see the club run route in advance as it gives people a chance to sort out work or family duties and still be able to join in the run if they have a mechanical problem or punture ect, It is also good to take part in cycling different routes and taking in different scenery and cafe stops ect.

Talking of cafe stops I have been in the whitelees wind farm cafe and it is top drawer see u all sunday.

I'll hopefully be out again, I think i'll just join you at the back of Chapelton before you get back onto the Strathaven-EK road as I'll be coming from Hamilton.

I fully expect to fall off the back again but I will persevere until I can complete the full 70 odd mile.

This is where I plan to join up, any ideas how long it'll take the group to get 13 miles? 45min?

Hi Matt,

We should be there in 35-40 minutes (the map shows distances in KMs), we will take the main road to East Kilbride from the junction you arrive at until the Torrance roundabout.

When you get onto the main road just roll down to East Kilbride, if we don't catch you by Torrance roundabout, either hang around there or turn back to meet us, JimL should be on the road at the same time.

How did it go today? I got to the back end of Chapelton at about 10:55 (later than intented ) hung about until just after 11 then assumed I had missed you. I took the lanes to Eaglesham and then straight out to the Whitelees centre and hung about until about 12:45 before heading home. A bit blowy today.

Pity. I was going to continue round the opposite direction to meet you but when I got to the Whitelees centre the weather was a bit wild so I was glad of the refuge.
