I'm busy Sunday afternoon so I'm leaving at 9am and need to be back for about 11.30. Need to give this one a miss, sounds a good run. _________________ It never gets easier, you just get faster. |

Contador, you're not allowed out for the next year. Go and train on your own! _________________ It never gets easier, you just get faster. |

I'm not free until about 11.30am Sunday =[
So i'll have to give it a miss. Might try and meet you somewhere on the route. Where you planning on going after you've gone up the tranny? |

Rikeh, I am out on my bike almost every day and did about 9,500 miles last year so I'm not short of miles in legs. Distance is no issue so provided you are not doing average speed in the 20's I should be fine. I will be there.. |

Rik, clicked the link, but it says you "only share routes with your friends" which presumably is no-one. Can you change this to share with all? x |

I suggest that the slow group also goes up the Millheugh, over to Glassford and Strathaven, then A71 for a short spell, before turning right to Loudon Hill via Whitelaw and Meadowfoot. Cross the A71 again, over to Dungavel then back to Blackwood cafe via the back road to Sandford.
The group should be well within the grasp of the fast group before they reach Strathaven or thereabouts.
Last week, the slow group rode a perfect group ride (well, almost perfect!) by keeping a pace that suited everyone and making sure that the group stayed together. Certain hills were an exception, but that's always going to be the case (especially if I'm there!).
Having said all that, if there is a need to form a third group, for beginners, comebackers, or just plain old unfitters, then I'll take that group on a suitable route.
Dennis
Hopefully we'll all congregate around the crockery of Pathhead cafe at the end. |

Can't blame the bailers, was baltic today!
Eventually got out at the back of 12 myself. Passed Alec, Vinny and co going the other way on the roman road towards Sandford, think i saw the 4 remaining from the fast group going past as i came up to the road end.
Had you just passed a pair of cyclists in high-vis jackets?
Anyhoo, went on my lonesome down around Muirkirk(lovely headwind on way out ) and farting about the backroads before passing Dennis coming out of Blackwood. Must have been a long cafe stop! |
