This is an historic event that takes in the mighty Dukes Pass at Aberfoyle.

Jim Hastie is organizing a route for a club run to go and watch this event.

Top riders from all over the UK will be riding and it is an absolute Classic.

Details of the drive/run will be available soon.

Heres Jim Hasties plan:

Park at Blairdrummond take the A84 Callander-then 2nd left onto B8032-then right onto A81 towards Callander, before Callander take the Invertrossachs rd - then turn right then left onto the A821 and follow the rd to Aberfoyle over the Dukes Pass (AFTER LUNCH) continue through Aberfoyle left onto the A81- then right onto the A873 to Thornhill then continue on the A873 back to Blairdrummond.

Exact details of the meeting place and time are still to be decided. Watch this space.

A rough (very rough) map of the route can be seen (maybe) on the article on the What's On page. The route is marked in blue, and apologies in advance for the poor image.

Trossach,s Run.
I believe that parking at Blairdrummond is not an option so I suggest parking at Dobbies garden centre on the A84 about 4 miles before Blairdrummond.
The start time of the race is is 10am so I think leaving Dobbies no later than 8.45 should be OK. Jim H

Hi Jim,

Be careful with Dobbies. The barrier comes down at some stage so, to avoid your cars being locked in (!), you better check when that will be.

Not had much interest in the run, so I am going to start at Callander at approx 9am and then to Aberfoyle to see the race.
PS. it all depends on the weather. Jim H
