While on holiday in Canada, we popped in to say hello to member John Craig, who kindly showed us round the Velodrome (see pics in gallery).

John, who wrote 'The Letter from Canada' shown on the website, says 'hello' to club members, particularly the ones he knows.

This track is shorter than usual, which means that the banking has to be 55% (Meadowbank is steep enough at only 45%) and if you are going less than 20mph, you fall off (13mph at Meadowbank). Wall of Death comes to mind!

Hope this gives a flavour of things to come, trackwise, in Glasgow in 3 years' time...

By the way, note the special ventilated Canadian track shoes I'm wearing, on my first time on a track since 1971 (Meadowbank, and I managed to stay up!). Surprised
