Great 80km run yesterday with 5 guys on the road.
Larkhall / Braidwood Hill / Yieldshields / Forth / Briech / Polkemmet Country Park / Salsburgh / Newhouse.
Superb weather and not too much wind.
Here's Alex, The Slab, Colin and Higgy enjoying the scoff at the cafe.

Great pic Pete.
Sunday was a blast, especially the downhill from Harthill to Newhouse roundabout. (And the smell of the bacon rolls at Polkemmet - must get one next time!)
Only downside was the two drivers playing wacky races in the Clyde Valley and out past Yieldshields.
By the time Graeme and I got back to Larkhall, the average pace was 17.1mph, the fastest I've been on a Sunday run.
Need to remember suncream, though - my missus isn't too taken by the cyclist's tan I'm developing.
I might struggle for next Sunday - I have to be in Glasgow for 1.30, so hoping to get out on Saturday. If anyone's interested, let me know - [email protected]
(Bike went in to Billy Bilslands this morning - Sram Red 2013 gruppo getting fitted tomorrow. Be still my beating heart......) |
