As some of you may know, Morag and I took part in the 'Tour of China' recently, and I want to share some of the 'bike' moments with you. I have put some of my bike pics on the Gallery, which will show you cycling life in the raw.
These pics were taken in various cities, all of which contained 12 to 32 million people. What you see here is fast disappearing, as modernity takes over, but it's fascinating to see this mix of the old and new.
Don't let these pics make you think that China is behind us. They are well ahead, with the fastest train in the world (magnetic train with max speed when we were aboard of 431kph); the biggest dam in the world (Yangtse River) with a water level of 175 metres; huge development programmes of railways, roads, buildings (the modern buildings of the business centre of Shanghai would take your breath away) and they are No. 1 producer in the world.
OK, there's another side to China too, but all sorts of changes are taking place...
Enjoy a glimpse of what will soon be 'the past'...
