|
|
After cycling and driven a lot of miles checking out various locations for the royal albert cc prize giving. This years prize giving will be held in
THE POACHERS INN BLACKWOOD on sunday the 7th of february at 13.00hrs. I have booked it for between 15 to 30 people on the day. It is also very bike friendly and has space to keep the bikes they are also more than happy that we are having a prize giving in the poachers.
There is a choice of a 2 or 3 course lunch starting at 5 for two course or 8 for the three course lunch including teas or coffee.
PRIZE WINNERS.
There are 7 prize winners in total so lets get behind them and give them something to remember on the day. Anyone who has trophys to get will receive them on the day at the poachers as dennis white and morag have kindly agreed to bring along the trophys on the day to hand them out anyone who can,t take away there trophy can collect it at the next club meeting lets hope its a great day out. All the best john campbell social sec royal albert cycling club.. |

Further to John's post about the prizegiving lunch, it is intended to hold a Club Run (similar to the Christmas lunch run), leaving the clubroom at 10am, meeting up in Blackwood at 10.30am with riders from the Blackwood/deep south area.
There will follow a secret mystery tour which will lead us back to Poachers Inn (Kirkmuirhill) for 1pm.
Please pass the word around. It would be great to get a really big bunch out for this, which would also be a good advert for the club, as well as support for the prizewinners. The pace will be slow and steady, keeping together (just like the Peebles 100), and you may even see some places youve never seen before...
For an idea of numbers for both the run and the prizegiving lunch, please post your interest. Thanks.

Information about yesterday's event has been given to Lanark Gazette (look for the pic of the winners in Wednesday's edition), Hamilton Advertiser and The HUB.
If those of you who took pics yesterday would like to pass copies to me I'll put them in The Gallery.
Any other pics would be welcome too (cycling ones, like...)
