I just tried to renew my BC membership and racing licence for 2012.
It appears, from the BC website, that the Royal Albert CC is not registered with BC.
This is possibly due to it being 7th Jan and the club has not registered for 2012 yet. Does anybody know when/if the club will register with BC?
Thanks,
Ian |

Hi Ian,
The Club will be registered with BC/SC in the next couple of weeks.
The new club Secretary Celia Tennant will receive the racing licenses as/when they are sent from Manchester. |

Hi Ian
The club has sent the affiliation forms and payment to Scottish Cycling a few weeks ago.
The Scottish Cycling website does say it takes a couple of weeks for the registration to be processed, there probably busy at this time of year.
I've been checking on the membership section of the British Cycling website every couple of days, trying to join up as a club member, as soon as i get through I'll post it here. |

If you do a search on British Cycling website it comes up with the name of Pro-Am RC. Is this why we can't find Royal Albert. Derek Hamilton is the contact and [email protected] is the e-mail address |

That name comes up on the drop down on the renew membership page but I certainly cannot get any further in the on-line renewal process. Keep getting the message "Problems detected: please see notes below for how to continue". Royal Albert doesn't appear at all so I will wait until issues with name and registration are sorted before phoning British Cycling to renew. |

Still no sign of RACC in the BC website, seems to be taking a long time.
I was hoping to race on 31st March. |

I did the ice breaker but had no licence so i took along my conformation of membership for the B.C.F. which was accepted as prof by the event organiser. So don't worry to much if the licences take a little while longer and anyway i'm sure it will be sorted soon enough. |

Thanks for the info.
I've booked a Mallorca training week instead, so won't make the race on 31st March. Plenty of the season left to get some racing in.
Cheers

Good News guys.
After a bit of emailing around, the club name is now available on the British Cycling list. |

James,
I managed to renew my BC membership and race license tonight. The RACC appears in BC website, in the mid Scotland region. |

Some of you guys who have applied for a racing licence have expressed concern that the licence has not been received as yet.
British Cycling has admitted they have been sending correspondance to the previous Club Secretary Steven Brennan, this issue has been resolved, and the club will endevour to collect any correspondance fron Steven as soon as possible.
In the meantime Celia Tennant the new club secretary has recieved a racing Licence for Brian Muir, and will bring it to the race on Sunday. |

James,
Thanks for the update. I heard from one of the Pro-Am guys that my license is now with Celia.
Just had a great week in Mallorca, going well now.
Hope to see you at next Sunday 15th April club run.
Cheers,
Ian |
