As well as the Bealach Mor on 3 September I have also entered the following Sportive rides that are close by or within reasonable travelling distance. If anyone is interested in joining me to any of these events, sharing travel and so on then let me know.

Drumlanrig Challenge, Thornhill, Saturday 30 April - 100 miles

Cross Border Sportive, Haddington, Sunday 22 May - 100 miles

Le Terrier, Lancaster, Sunday 4 June - 102 miles (I'm staying overnight on Sat 3 at Travelodge M6 North)

Northern Rock Cyclone, Newcastle, Saturday 24 June - 104 miles (Overnight stay on Fri 23 at Travelodge Newcastle Silverlink)

Glasgow Sportive, Bishopton, Sunday 14 August - 100 miles

I will look at any other events as and when they are announced but doubt if I will be able to fit in much more with my shifts and planned holidays.

Not loaded, just keen to find as many sportives as I can to fit in with my shifts. Entry into Sportive events doesn't cost much more than a premier league football match and the Travelodge rooms I have booked I managed to pick up cheap in their sale. The only other thing I have to add on expense wise is fuel so obviously it would help to share travel... Drumlanrig is a really good ride. I like the long steady climbs and fast descents. I did Northern Rock Cyclone ride laast year for the first time. Superb organisation, great facilities and nice route once you are out of the urban area. The Gold standard is really hard despite the fact there are no killer climbs like in the Fred Whitton. The ride this year is being run in conjuction with British road race championship which is being held the following day
