It is clear that Club members were not happy about the prices of the Club Kit, and Kalas have now agreed to reduce the prices of the tops and skinsuits (no change to the prices of the bottoms). They have also reduced the minimum order level from 20 to 10 (for both tops and bottoms).

It has also been mentioned that the prices (prior to the current reductions) were much higher than those of the 2009 orders, and the following notes explain why that is the case.

1. As the Club sold over 50 tops and bottoms in July 2009, then over 20 of each in December 2009, we got a cheaper price break on both occasions, ie the 50+ price, less 10%.
2. Re bottoms, Kalas made a mistake last time and undercharged us for bottoms, ie we got power lycra, but they only charged for normal lycra.
3. Vat was only 15% on the 2nd order, and its now 20% (and SLB paid the vat on the first order)
4. We charge 4.7% for online payments

However, as mentioned on the website kit page, the kit prices will be even cheaper if bought in Pro Am, on a cash in advance basis. A note on that page shows how to calculate the cash price.

So, the sooner we get the orders in, the sooner well get the kit. Remember, it will take about 8 weeks from the date of sending the bulk order to Kalas.

Club member and sponsor, Alan Kain, is arranging to add to the range in the form of accessories, eg arm warmers and hats. Watch this space.

Anyone got a jersey in size medium that I can try on for size before I order?

The large I have has always felt a little baggy around the chest, but don't know if the medium would be too tight.
