John,
I don't get back home until Saturday evening, so can't make it. Sad
Cheers,

A good weekend was had by all.

Attendees:
John Campbell
John Pardo
Tommy Bell
James Skinner
Tommy Murray (Sat & Sun ride)
Dennis White (Sun Ride)

We met at the Go-Ride in Chatelerhault, and with John Pardo deciding to drive up we passed the bags to him.
We then rode to the clubhouse, to meet Tommy Murray who was joining us for part of the ride, when there Tommy Bell decided to get a start and headed out about 45 minutes early, with Tommy M heading out about 5 minutes early.
John Campbell and I started out, and caught Tommy M just after Canderside Toll, we battled the strong headwind for what seemed hours, until catching Tommy B at the Crawfordjohn road end, John C wondered why I wasnt taking a spell, but climbing up from Douglas at 185 bpm I wasnt getting past never mind taking a spell.
John Pardo riding down from Leadhills met us just before Abington, and we rode together to Crawford, or that was the plan until Tommy M started feeling good and split the bunch into 3 on the flat road before Crawford.
In Crawford we stopped at the cafe before waving Tommy M goodbye for his ride back to Larkhall, the 4 remaining riders took it easy until the steep sloped of the Hass Brae, everyone got there in some form or state.

We got booked in, had a good wash, then met in the bar for a couple of beers, had a great meal, then claimed the couch in front of the open fire and stretched out for a couple of hours.

The next morning John C claimed he heard a buzz saw during the night, but it turned out to be John P snoring.
Then followed a full English breakfast, followed by a cold start as rolling down from Leadhills you dont do a lot of pedaling.

We met Tommy M and Dennis W on the descent towards Douglas, and then John P just after Happendon, we all rode round Coalburn, Auchlochan, and Boghead, before heading to the Pathead cafe.

A good weekend, and some good banter, and also a few hard miles in the legs, what more would you want.
Cant wait until next time
